The Center regularly offers Support and Development groups in New York for those who have completed our Mediation Intensive. The focus of these groups is on integrating the Understanding-based model into participants’ work with conflict resolution in a manner that is authentic to the individual professionals.
Advanced Self-Reflection in Action for Conflict Professionals (SCPI) Group

Advanced Looping: Bringing Deeper Understanding to the Parties in Conflict

Central to our work with parties in conflict is the development and fostering of understanding. The foundation upon which this understanding rests is found, for us, in the loop of understanding or, as we term it, “looping.” Through demonstrating our understanding of what parties in conflict are saying in our own words, but to their satisfaction, the dialogue can be focused and deepened, and understanding can be developed in a meaningful way.

The Center is planning to offer an advanced seminar series in New York City: “The Essentials of Family Law: What Family Mediators and Collaborative Professionals Need to Know.” It will be held on eight consecutive Tuesday evenings starting February 21st (Please note: No class during week of March 6th ) and ending on April 17th. There will be some readings and other homework assignments.
