Catherine Conner’s practice focuses on family law alternate dispute resolution, including mediation, collaborative practice and private judging.  She graduated from University of California, Boalt Hall in 1982.  She is a founding partner of Conner, Lawrence & Rodney, established in 1983.  In 1992, she became a Certified Family Law Specialist.  She was honored as the recipient of the Rex Sater Award for Excellence in Family Law in 2003.  She has been designated a Northern California Super Lawyer since 2005 and one of the Best Lawyers in America since 2006.

Catherine has been a leader in bringing collaborative practice to Sonoma County, including the founding chair of the Sonoma County Bar Association’s Collaborative Law Section and the first President of the Collaborative Council of the Redwood Empire, an interdisciplinary collaborative practice group in multi practice areas.  She authored Collaborative Family Law Practice Materials with Steven Neustadter and Margaret Anderson.  In 2006, she started the Collaborative Practice Center in Santa Rosa with other collaborative professionals.  In 2008, she joined the board of directors of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and is currently Treasurer and Chair of the Professional Development Committee.

Catherine has presented on various professional topics for twenty years.  She has been a collaborative and mediation trainer with the Center for Understanding in Conflict/Center for Mediation in Law since 2004.   Additional biographical information is available at her law firm website at www.clr829.com.
