Support and Development Groups
The Support and Development groups are monthly supervision classes for those who have completed the Center’s Mediation Intensive Training and have been working to integrate the Understanding based approach into their ongoing professional lives.
At these meetings, one or more participants present a case on which he or she has been working. We then explore together how this approach can help us support the parties in working through their conflict together. The basic inquiry here is how, by connecting more deeply to our own ideals and aspirations and to those of the people we serve, we can be more effective in our work with parties in conflict and develop more fully as professionals.
